Every now and then, there comes a time when we have to do something that we have never done before. For some reason, we are drawn to doing something that we would never do if we weren’t in a position of authority.
This is a good example of this. For the last two years, we’ve been dealing with severe weather that has caused power outages, loss of phone services, and the closure of multiple schools. Most of this has been caused by the massive flow of hurricanes that have been funneling their rain down the east coast from a supercharged storm system that’s moving west. The good news is that this year we’re facing another system that will be moving in from the east.
This storm will be moving directly over the southwest corner of the state. We have been warning people with lancaster weather and weather maps that the storms will be hitting lancaster and surrounding towns every day through tomorrow. This storm is expected to cause widespread power outages along the coast, even more so than the last two. We want to inform everyone that you are in a high-risk area and that we will work with local officials to make sure your power is restored as soon as possible.

For those who don’t have an app like this, there are a few apps that allow you to do this. For many people, the ability to see what the weather will be like at any given time is a really useful thing. I know someone who would be perfectly willing to drive home during a blizzard with my daughter, just in case there was a tornado heading his way.
